Lao men arrested for drug trafficking
Police in the central province of Ha Tinh have detained two Lao men for trafficking drugs into the area.
At the police station, Yia Song said that another Lao man hired him to transport the drugs from Lao to Vinh City in Vietnam's Nghe An Province for USD12,000. He asked Keo Song to help him and promised to pay Keo Song between USD2,000-3,000.
Ha Tinh Police are further investigating the case.
Two Lao men, Yia Song and Keo Song, are detained at 11.30 am on April 11 while transporting the drugs in a car on National Road 8A in Huong Son District.
A report from local police said that the men Yia Song, 31, and Keo Song, 25, were detained at 11.30 am on April 11 while transporting the drugs in a car on National Road 8A in Huong Son District.
Checking their Kia Sorento car with Lao registration, the police found 44 packages of heroin, 60,000 amphetamine pills, 10 kilos of methamphetamine, and 10 kilos of ketamine. All the drugs and the car were seized.
