Southern Traditional Cake Festival to be held in Can Tho
The Southern Traditional Cake Festival 2024 will take place in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on April 17-21.
The event will display around 100 traditional cakes from the southern region. There will also be a demonstration of the largest banh xeo (sizzling rice pancake) ever made.
Can Tho Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Deputy Director Dao Thi Thanh Thuy said that this year's festival highlight would be 14 artisans making a record-breaking three-metre banh xeo.
Designer Nguyen Minh Cong will also exhibit evening gowns made from banh xeo.
The festival will take place at the square of Binh Thuy District.
