Speaking at the signing ceremony on May 15, Nguyen Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dantri, stated that the first Dantri Pickleball Tournament 2025 is a sporting event marking the 20th anniversary of the newspaper's establishment.
"Dantri has organised various large-scale sporting events, attracting significant participation. We recently hosted the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 in April and are excited to prepare for the first Dantri Pickleball Tournament this July," said Toan.
At the event, Le Ngoc Anh, Director of Pickfair, also shared his enthusiasm: "We are very pleased to collaborate with Dantri in organising the first Dantri Pickleball Tournament.
With nearly two years of experience hosting large-scale pickleball tournaments nationwide, this event will offer an exciting playing field for both professional athletes and amateur players.
According to Ngoc Anh, the tournament will feature 10 competition categories, including 8 for amateur athletes and two advanced categories for professionals.
Notably, the first Dantri Pickleball Tournament will be held at Happy Land Court in Long Bien, Hanoi, which is considered the most modern pickleball facility in northern Vietnam.
"Happy Land spans nearly 10,000 square metres, can accommodate up to 1,500 spectators, and includes a gym for athlete warm-ups and hot and cold therapy areas for post-match recovery.
This tournament will also apply VAR technology to support referees, ensuring accuracy and fairness during matches," said Tran Khai, a representative of Pickfair.
