A man in Hai Duong City is in need of help for his skull re-attachment operation after he was randomly attacked.
Duong Van Thuyet said, "It was about 7pm, I was preparing to go home then out of the blue a group of men came and just beat me. When I woke up, I was already at the Viet-Germany Hospital. The police are still searching for the attackers. I don't know who could have done this and I don't understand why I was beaten like that."

Thuyet suffered from serious head injuries, including a brain contusion and acute subdural haematoma, which is a serious condition where blood collects between the skull and the surface of the brain. The damaged part of his skull was taken out and raised in the hospital, leaving a large dent in Thuyet's head.
He needs another operation to re-attach the skull to his head but he is currently unable to afford the treatment.

Thuyet is a dumpling seller. His family borrowed VND100m (USD4,500) and put their house up as collateral for a VND20m loan so that they could have enough money for Thuyet's first operation. But they do not have enough money for another one.
Nguyen Thi Hoa, Thuyet's wife, said she was planning to sell her blood or a kidney for Thuyet's operation.
"I'm alive but I can't work to support my wife and children and it hurts more than death. If I can't work then I hope to die so I wouldn't be a burden for my family," Thuyet said.
