Several well-known singers joined a music show in HCM City on August 16 to raise funds for poor students initiated by DTiNews.
The three-hour music show raised VND20 million (USD970) to buy notebooks for students in disaster-hit localities in the country for the coming school year.
The move is part of efforts to raises funding to buy one million notebooks for underprivileged students nationwide.
The show was plagued by heavy rain but singer Leu Phuong Anh said as “this is a charity programme, and we’re doing a charitable job. We can spend an hour singing despite the weather.”
