A single mother in Ha Tinh Province has had to turn to other mothers to feed her twin babies as she undergoes multiple surgeries to tackle congenital and physical diseases that have left her and her parents with huge debts.

"I don't want to be a burden to other people with my illnesses," said Vo Thi Luong from Village 13.
But Luong is becoming desperate after her latest round of hospital bills.
"I don't even have enough money to buy milk for my children. Where can I find tens of millions of dong to continue treatments?"
Luong can no longer make milk for her four-month-old twins Vo Gia Bao and Vo Thi Gia Nhi and had to ask mothers in Ha Tinh General Hospital to breastfeed the babies for her.

Four days after their birth, Luong was transferred to Hanoi's Viet-Duc Hospital with severe coagulopathy and was in critical condition. Her parents borrowed money for her treatment even though they still had unpaid debts for her treatment for congenital heart disease and an infection of her bile ducts.
Other families in the village have helped where they can, donating some rice or old clothes for the children.
Asked about the babies' father, Luong said, "He is poor and can't help us. I don't want to bother his family."
