Dan Tri has transferred USD2,700 in donations to help a teenage boy in Phu Tho Province who has been struggling with heart disease.

On May 24, a day after the story of the 15 year-old in Ha Thanh Phu was published, a reader name Binh donated USD2,700 to help him have operation as soon as possible.
Phu's father, Ha Van Thuy, said, "After our story was published, we were so happy because many people called to give us encouragement and send gifts to us. We received over USD454 and used it all to pay hospital charges. We thought that even though USD2,700 was huge but we now had hope. I never imagined that we would receive USD2,700 in one go. I don't know what to say but thank you everyone."
Both Phu and his brother have mitral incompetence since birth. His brother has just had an operation and Phu also had an operation a year ago. But after being discharged, the heart valve still failed to close properly and his condition has worsened.
Thuy and his wife are farmers and they have already borrowed hundreds of millions of VND for two operations and have run out of credit options. They had no idea how to borrow USD2,700 to pay for Phu's operation.
