A single mother in Ha Tinh Province is calling for financial support to help her daughter who is dying of heart disease.

Nguyen Thi Luong from Huong Vinh Commune is taking care of her 23-year-old daughter, Le Thi Yen alone.
"She was six months old when her father died of malaria. She was still healthy then and I had so much hope for her. But when she was in ninth grade, she almost fainted and then was diagnosed with heart disease. I borrowed from everyone I can think of to have money for her but her condition didn't improve. Then we were told to go to neurology hospitals," Nguyen Thi Luong, Le Thi Yen's mother, said.
But the money all ran out so Luong has kept Yen at home. Still hoping that her daughter can be cured, Luong planted medicinal herbs and tried to treat the illness herself. However, the limbs of her daughter have become too stiff to move around.
Luong takes care of her daughter
They live in a dilapidated house which cannot protect them from cold winds or rainstorms.
Luong can't leave her daughter alone for too long so she finds odd jobs from the neighbours to bring in some money. She is afraid that if her daughter suddenly dies while she is away, she will not be able to see her for the last time.
"I just feel happy when I go home and still see her breathing," Luong said.
