A couple in central Ha Tinh Province is in desperate need of financial support to save their two-year-old daughter who is battling life-threatening birth defects and is urgent need of heart surgery.
Dinh Khanh Ninh has gone through five surgeries in two years
Dinh Khanh Ninh's mother, Dinh Thi Thanh Huyen, said Ninh was born with many deformities of the spine and leg, as well as internal abnormalities, but doctors from Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy in April 2014 helped correct many of them.
"We thought everything would be fine then, but Ninh's health remained weak," Ninh's mother said.

Doctors found Ninh has congenital heart disease and needs further surgeries. However, the family has run up debts of VND100m (USD4,700) for her earlier treatments and cannot borrow more money.
Ninh's father is working as a freelance labourer for VND150,000 a day, while Huyen spends her time caring for her sick daughter and their two other children.
