DTiNews readers have given VND136.28m (USD6,500) to a four-year-old boy in Dien Bien Province suffering kidney cancer.

Doctors at Viet-Duc Hospital said the cancer is entering the final stages and the tumor needs to be removed. Trong will then need chemotherapy.
Trong's father, Thao A Di, said the family's income is from rice fields, and he sold their only buffalo to pay for Thong's treatment because "there's no one to borrow from".
The boy's health condition has begun to improve after surgery at Viet Duc Hospital.

DTiNews gave the family VND136m on August 12, donated by readers.
The boy's family is giving VND10m to help other disadvantaged children in the Paediatrics Ward of the hospital, and VND30m to the hospital's social fund.
