Children in Nghe An Province have received life-changing gifts of VND140m (USD6,600) from readers of DTiNews.
Dam Thi Thu Nguyet received VND45,260,000. The eight-year-old lost both her parents to HIV/Aids in Tan Huong Commune and was born with HIV. Nguyet lives with her aunt, Nguyen Thi Ut, who is devoted to her orphaned niece.

Ut's own health is not good, and her family's rice field is too small to make a living, so she gathers and sells firewood and works in others' rice fields.

A five-year-old girl in mountainous Hoi Son Commune, Nguyen Ngoc Bao Tram, received VND41,340,000. She has spinal muscular atrophy.

Tram's mother said, "She is reaching critical condition. She becomes thinner and can't move her limbs freely anymore. We brought her to hospitals in Hanoi but doctors said they couldn't cure her."
