According to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, the province aims to welcome 7.5 million visitors this year, including 6.6 million domestic and 900,000 international visitors.
However, in the first 11 months of the year, the number of foreign tourists exceeded the target, reaching 1.08 million, accounting for nearly 7 percent of the total number of international visitors to the country during this period.

Ninh Binh's tourism revenue in November was estimated at over VND585 billion (USD23 million), marking a 15.53 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
The province welcomed 8.1 million tourists from January to November, a 30.44 percent increase compared to the same period last year, surpassing the annual target by 8.06 percent.
In 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, Ninh Binh hosted 7.6 million tourists, including 910,000 foreign arrivals.
Ninh Binh is listed among the top ten localities in Vietnam with the highest number of tourists. The province has actively promoted tourism in several countries, particularly India, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.
In 2025, the province is expected to welcome 8.7 million tourists, including 1.5 million foreign visitors.
Ninh Binh has set a goal of obtaining tourism revenue of over VND8 trillion in 2025, contributing roughly 6.5 percent to the province's Gross Regional Domestic Product. By 2030, the figure is expected to rise to VND18.67 trillion.
