The train, coded SE61, departs from Hanoi every Wednesday evening, making stops at popular tourist destinations such as Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, and Phan Thiet, before concluding its journey in Ho Chi Minh City the morning of the following Wednesday.
The return journey, marked as SE62, leaves HCM City for Hanoi Hanoi on the same evening.
The first passengers on the route were 30 foreigners. Jess McHugh from America said that the train resembles the European Orient Express, but it took them across Vietnam. She found it fascinating and truly exciting, providing them an opportunity to visit the entire country.

The train's crew consist of a total of 28 people.
Nguyen Thi Minh Hien, Deputy Director of PYS Travel, said that the company has launched the train with 5 sleeper carriages and 2 dining carriages, and plans to operate trains with 10 sleeper carriages to accommodate 60 passengers per trip.

The service price in December is VND186 million (USD7,320) per person. From January 2025, the price will increase to VND220 million (USD8,610 USD). On the very first day of the launch, the train was fully booked. Currently, advance bookings are already filled for the entire year of 2025.
