It has for years become a tradition that on lunar New Year's Eve, Hanoi and many major cities across Vietnam hold fireworks displays to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one.
In Hanoi, high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays are held at iconic and scenic locations, attracting large crowds of residents and tourists.

According to the plan, Hanoi holds fireworks displays at 30 locations across the city, including 10 high-altitude fireworks locations, and 20 locations with low-altitude displays.
Many people gather to enjoy the fireworks performance in Hanoi
In HCM City, the fireworks display will take place at 15 locations across the city, lasting 15 minutes from midnight to 0:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
Firework displays were also organised in many other cities nationwide including Hue, Dalat, and Can Tho, marking the start of the Year of the Snake.
