Nguyen Huu Mao, director of the provincial Museum and Tourism Promotion Centre, said visitor numbers to the northern province of Bac Ninh have soared, fueled by the popularity of the music video Bac Bling.
Released on March 1, Hoa Minzy's music video Bac Bling (Bac Ninh) quickly went viral on social media, topped domestic music charts and made waves internationally. The music video highlights some of Bac Ninh's iconic destinations, including Do Temple, Phu Lang Pottery Village, Dong Do Folk Painting Village, and Dau Pagoda, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

Bac Bling is the biggest music project in Hoa Minzy's career. It showcases her deep love for Bac Ninh, her hometown. The music video uniquely blends traditional and modern music and features special appearances by artists Xuan Hinh and Tuan Cry.
Notably, the video sees the participation of nearly 300 residents, from elderly individuals to young children.
On March 8, Bac Ninh launched two free tours covering 14 local sites, including many featured in the music video. The tours, held every Saturday and Sunday, will run until the end of June this year.
Mao said that over the weekend, hundreds of people from different areas flocked to Bac Ninh Museum to register for the free guided tours, which run from 8 am to around 5 pm.

Nguyen Thoa from Hanoi said she decided to visit Bac Ninh, the land of Quan Ho folk singing, after being captivated by the scenes in the Bac Bling music video. However, all the tour buses were fully booked when she arrived, so she had to explore independently.
Speaking to Dantri/DTiNews, Mao said, "We had anticipated a sharp increase in visitor numbers to Bac Ninh, but despite arranging additional buses, we still couldn't fully meet the surging demand."

To better serve the public, the provincial Department of Science and Technology has helped develop a mobile app that allows people to register in advance. This enables concerned agencies to manage visitor numbers and prevent overcrowding.
Last year, Bac Ninh attracted 2.3 million tourists, a 40 percent increase from the previous year, generating VND1.9 trillion (USD79.5 million) in revenue.
