On July 24, around 450 metres of floating ropes were used to establish safe swimming areas on Truoc Beach. This public beach mostly attracts locals.

The authorities have also set up warning flags to remind residents on the beach.
Buoy lines have been also used to mark safe swimming areas on Dua and Sau beaches.
The Vung Tau Tourism Management and Assistance Centre has proposed the municipal authorities to arrange an additional 3,000 metres of buoy lines for demarcating safe swimming areas on other beaches.
Many drownings have occurred on beaches in Vung Tau City in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau over the past years.
