Vietnamese athletes by noon September 24 earned three more medals - one silver and two bronze - at the ongoing 17th Asian Games (ASIAD 17) in Incheon, the Republic of Korea.

Vietnamese athletes by noon September 24 earned three more medals - one silver and two bronze - at the ongoing 17th Asian Games (ASIAD 17) in Incheon, the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Rowers Le Thi An, Pham Thi Hue, Pham Thi Hai and Pham Thi Thao finished second in the lightweight women’s quadruple sculls event with a time of 7’28”48 to get a silver medal. The Chinese team led the race.

In the women’s single sculls event, with a time of 9’16”36 Ta Thi Thanh Huyen brought home a bronze medal.

Meanwhile, with a total score of 1,707 points, shooters Ha Minh Thanh, Bui Quang Nam and Kieu Thanh Tu came third in the men’s team event in the 25m standard pistol category.

The RoK team secured gold with 1,747 points, followed by China with 1,746 points.

As of 11pm of September 24, Vietnam has been awarded one gold, three silver and 11 bronze medals at ASIAD-17.
