Vietnam tourism sector to see soaring revenues: RNCOS

The Vietnam tourism industry revenues is forecast to grow at a CAGR of around 22% during 2010-2013, said a new research.

The tourism industry in Vietnam is projected to witness unprecedented growth rates in coming years, owing to the government’s promotional initiatives and booming MICE market in the country, according to RNCOS’ latest research report "Vietnam Tourism Industry Forecast to 2012."

RNCOS forecasts that the tourism sector will earn revenues at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 22% during 2010-2013. “Vietnam tourism industry will continue serving as growth drivers for the tourism market in Vietnam during 2010-2013,” RNCOS said.

Various factors such as growing disposable income and upcoming events such as the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi along with National Tourism year in 2010, will lead to a boost in Vietnamese tourism industry in the years to come.

The research reveals that Vietnam shows immense growth potential for the tourism industry in coming years. The country has seen substantial FDI in this sector. The tourism sector accounted for 44.7% of the total FDI into Vietnam during January-November 2009. Moreover, major international players in the hospitality sector have also set up their base in the country.
