Between midnight and 4 am on October 22, people in Vietnam will be able to view the Orionids meteor shower, with 25-30 meteors per hour.
Dang Vu Tuan Son, President of Vietnam Amateur Club of Astronomy (VACA) said, "The Orionids are one of the biggest annual meteor showers. The shower will reach its peak at midnight between October 21 and 22. If the weather is favourable, people in Vietnam will have the chance to observe the spectacle."
According to Son, people can watch the shower after midnight while looking in an easterly direction off the constellation of Orion.
The Draconids meteor shower will appear earlier on October 7.
Astronomer Tony Phillips of spaceweather.com said the unpredictable Draconids meteor shower from the Draco Constellation, located above the North Pole, will peak in October and people in the Northern Hemisphere will have the best chance of watching it.
