Vietnam reports two more Covid-19 cases

Vietnam reported two new locally-infected Covid-19 patients this morning, February 16, according to the Ministry of Health.

Vietnam reported two new locally-infected Covid-19 patients this morning, February 16, according to the Ministry of Health.

The two cases are in the northern province of Hai Duong which is facing the widespread Covid-19 infection. One patient is related to the Covid-19 outbreak in Cam Giang District, while the other is linked to the infection in Kinh Mon District.

Both of them are being quarantined for treatment at the province’s second field hospital in Hai Duong City.

By 6 am this morning, Vietnam had of 1,372 Covid-19 locally-infected cases, including up to 679 cases since July 27.

Currently, 128,080 people are being put under quarantine. Of the figure, 577 are in hospitals; 15,230 are at quarantine sites and 112,273 at home.

Social distancing has been applied across the northern province of Hai Duong from 0:00 on February 16.

Local residents are told to stay at home and should only go out in case of extreme necessity, such as buying food, medicine, or emergencies.
