
A quarantine area for Covid-19 patients at a Vietnamese hospital
The 58th patient is a 26-year-old student in France who came back through Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport on March 15 and her sample turned out to be positive for SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19. She and those having close contacts with her are now quarantined and treated.
The 60th case is a 29-year-old French man who boarded a flight from Paris to Hanoi on March 9 which also reported SARS-CoV-2 positive patients earlier. He had come to visit some tourist spots in Hanoi and Ninh Binh Province. On March 15, he was taken to a quarantine area in Hanoi and his samples showed positive for the virus on March 16.
All three patients are being treated at the Hanoi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
The 61st patient is a 42-year-old man who lives in the southern central province of Ninh Thuan. He had a trip to Malaysia on February 27 and returned to Vietnam on March 4 at Tan Son Nhat Airport in HCM City. He started to have a sore throat and fever on March 10. When his conditions got worse on March 15, he came to Ninh Thuan Provincial General Hospital for a health checkup and treatment. And his samples showed positive for SARS-CoV-2 today.
