Two suspects were arrested and 21 kilograms of ketamine were seized, including 4 kilograms hidden in a white foam box and 17 kilograms concealed in 34 labeled boxes of imported milk.
Investigators identified the suspects as Ho Quang Anh, 22, and Lo Thi Anh Tuyet, 18, both residents of Nghe An.
The probe revealed that on September 12, Tuyet sent a foam box containing drugs by passenger coach from Thanh Huong to Vinh City. Later that evening, she hired a taxi to deliver the package to Anh at a park in Truong Vinh Ward, where both were immediately arrested.
Based on their testimony, police discovered an additional 34 milk boxes containing 17 kilograms of ketamine stored at Tuyet’s sister’s house in Son Lam Commune.
Authorities said the suspects confessed to transporting the drugs under instructions from an overseas accomplice. The investigation is ongoing.
