This summer, the national carrier will serve Hung Yen egg lychee from May 23-31 and Son La plums from June 16-22 on selected domestic and international routes for business-class passengers.

The initiative is part of the airline’s “Four Seasons Agricultural Produce Route” programme, launched in coordination with local authorities to bring Vietnamese farm products closer to passengers through in-flight services.
Vietnam Airlines said serving regional specialties directly onboard offered a distinctive way to showcase Vietnamese culture, local identity and culinary products to both domestic and international travellers.
The airline said serving products such as Hung Yen egg lychees and Son La plums reflected improving quality standards among Vietnamese agricultural products.
Dang Anh Tuan, deputy chief executive of Vietnam Airlines, said the carrier aimed not only to connect destinations but also to promote Vietnam’s culture, people and regional specialties to international audiences.
In 2025, Vietnam Airlines served more than 3.1 tonnes of Son La plums, Luc Ngan lychees and Hung Yen egg lychees on domestic and international flights, receiving positive feedback from passengers.
Alongside onboard services, the airline is working with local authorities to promote Vietnamese agricultural products through its media and digital platforms.
