Police in Quang Tri Province said on March 9 that they had helped a US tourist retrieve property she forgot at Dong Hoi Airport.
Earlier, the tourist, identified as Elizabetu Babcon, flew from Quang Tri Province to Hanoi. After arriving at her hotel in the capital, she realised she had left her handbag at the airport.

The bag reportedly contained a significant amount of cash.
The tourist then asked hotel staff to contact authorities in Quang Tri Province for help.
After receiving the report, officers from the provincial police department checked the passenger terminal area and found the handbag. It contained a considerable sum of money but no personal identification documents.
The tourist later travelled back to Quang Tri by coach to collect her belongings.
She also wrote a letter thanking the authorities for helping her recover the lost property.
