In Truong Vinh Ward, roofs of restaurants, shops and homes were torn off, while large trees toppled and blocked entire streets, causing traffic paralysis.

Weather stations in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces reported winds of force 8–10, gusting up to 15, and sea surges of 1.66 m at Hon Ngu and 1.01 m at Sam Son. Heavy rains of up to 600 mm were recorded from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri.

Cleanup operations began overnight as green workers cleared debris once the storm subsided.

A main road in Tam Thai Commune has been deeply flooded, isolating some villages.

Many villages in Nhon Mai Commune have also been isolated. Residents have been evacuated to public buildings.
