According to the national meteorological agency, the typhoon is moving west-northwest at about 20 km/h. It is expected to weaken into a tropical depression by noon, then further into a low-pressure zone as it moves inland.
However, the storm circulation will continue to bring severe impacts. Forecasters warned that today and in the coming days, heavy rain will persist in Ha Tinh, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa, and spread across the northern delta and midlands, with many areas receiving 150 to 250 mm of rainfall, and some exceeding 300 mm.
