On the evening of October 24, two 17-year-old teenagers were swept away by large waves while swimming in Xuan Dai Bay, located in Xuan Dai Ward, Dak Lak Province. 

According to the Xuan Tho Commune People’s Committee, the incident occurred at around 5 pm when a group of five young men went swimming at Xuan Dai Bay. While in the water, two of them were pulled out to sea by strong waves and disappeared.

Upon receiving the report, local authorities from Xuan Tho and Xuan Dai communes coordinated with the police, Xuan Dai Border Guard Station, and local residents to conduct a search and rescue operation.

By around 8.30 pm the same day, one of the missing teenagers was found dead. Search efforts for the second victim are still ongoing amid rough sea conditions and strong waves that have hindered rescue operations.
