The three routes are 03B (Nuoc Ngam Bus Station-Giang Bien, Long Bien), 28 (Nuoc Ngam Bus Station-Dong Ngac-Mining University) and 100 (Long Bien-Dang Xa, Gia Lam).
Transerco has also adjusted the operating schedule of route 100 to accommodate electric buses and meet passenger demand.
Each new electric bus has a capacity of 60 passengers and features a distinctive green livery with Hanoibus branding, including peace dove motifs and an image of Khue Van Cac, a landmark at Hanoi's Temple of Literature.
The buses are equipped with low floors, accessibility facilities for passengers with disabilities and other modern amenities to improve passenger comfort and convenience.
A Transerco representative said the introduction of 31 electric buses on the three routes marked another step in the company's fleet transition programme.
By the end of October 2026, Transerco had deployed 375 electric buses across 24 routes, including 281 vehicles on 17 routes in the first half of the year and another 94 on seven routes in October.
On November 1, the company also introduced 15 electric buses to replace all diesel vehicles on route 40, connecting Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi with Van Lam in Hung Yen.
Transerco aims to increase the proportion of environmentally friendly vehicles in its fleet to more than 51 per cent by the end of 2026, exceeding the target set by Hanoi authorities.
