According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Centre, the systems are expected to affect northern provinces on December 2-3 and again on December 7-8.

Two cold spells to hit northern Vietnam early December
The centre said Typhoon Koto is moving west across the central East Sea before shifting southwest and west-southwest, gradually weakening into a tropical depression and later a low-pressure area as it approaches the south-central coast.
The storm is forecast to drift southwest at about 5 km/h and weaken into a tropical depression by 10 am on December 2, around 170 km east of the Gia Lai-Dak Lak coast. It is expected to become a low-pressure zone over waters off Gia Lai-Khanh Hoa later the same day.
Koto is set to deliver moderate to heavy rain from the night of December 2 through December 3 across eastern areas from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa, with totals of 70-120 mm and more than 180 mm in some locations.
From December 3-5, intense rainfall is expected from Quang Tri to Danang and eastern Quang Ngai, with widespread totals around 150 mm and local peaks above 250 mm.
