Two boys die from serious injuries after being hit by a truck wheel which suddenly flew off while running on a road in Ha Tinh Province on December 31, 2023.
Police in Cam Xuyen District reported on Monday that the tragic accident occurred at 4 pm on December 31 when a truck suddenly broke down while travelling on National Road 1 through Cam Trung Commune.
"One of the truck's wheels flew off, hitting two boys that were playing on the roadside," the police said. "The boys aged seven and eleven were seriously injured and they died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
Police are further investigating the accident.
