Female traffic police began controlling traffic at major T-junctions in Hanoi from this morning.
The officers will firstly work in Trang Tien-Hang Bai, Cua Nam-Dien Bien Phu, Nguyen Chi Thanh-Kim Ma, Tran Phu-Dien Bien Phu, O Cho Dua, Giai Phong-Dai Co Viet, and Hue Street which often see traffic jams at rush hours.
The traffic policewomen will focus on regulating traffic during the morning rush hour from 7-8.30 a.m and afternoons from 4.30-6pm.
Female traffic officers were previously deployed during the 1000th anniversary of Hanoi, and proved popular with motorists.
