Tan Lap 1 duming site has been overloaded for many years

According to the Tien Giang Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the province has six dumping sites in the districts of Tan Phuoc, Go Cong Dong, Go Cong Tay, Cho Gao, and Tan Phu Dong, as well as Go Cong Town.

Over the recent years, most of the rubbish in the province has been buried, leading to severe environmental pollution.

Most of the local landfills are open-air and overloaded, with the landfill in Kieng Phuoc Commune at risk of collapsing into the sea.
