A strong cold snap has been forecasted to hit northern and northern central localities from Wednesday evening with temperatures of below five degrees centigrade in high mountainous areas.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the temperature in the northern and northern central regions would fall to 11-14 degrees centigrade. Meanwhile, it would be 5-10 degrees centigrade in mountainous areas. High mountainous areas would face frost.

The cold weather has started affecting northeastern localities from today, October 30.

The northern region, including Hanoi, would see no rain with smog in the early morning in the next 4-6 days to come.

From this evening, the lowest temperature in Hanoi would be 13-15 degrees centigrade. The city’s temperature would drop to 11-13 degrees centigrade from Wednesday evening.
