A man wait for taxi at Tan Son Nhat Airport
A representative from the TCP car park announced that from July 28, all ride-sharing vehicles could only pick up passengers at Lanes D1 and D2 which are located on the ground floor of the car park.
"The change is to ensure better security and make it easier for users of ride-sharing services," the representative said.
The same day, Be Group also announced that Be Car drivers operating at Tan Son Nhat Airport's Terminal 1 would only pick up passengers in Lane D1.
Since November 2020, all app-based cars have been required to go to the 3rd, 4th or 5th floors of the car park to pick up customers at Tan Son Nhat, which means their customers must cross the internal car lanes and climb up the stairs or wait at the crammed elevators to meet their pickups.
