The remains were found following a search by a team from the provincial Military Command in the two Cambodian districts of Kratie and Kampongthom during the 2022 to 2023 dry season.
Only one of the remains has been identified so far, with the other identities of the remains remaining unknown.
During their search work in Cambodia, Binh Phuoc military officers also presented gifts and provided free medical checkups for the poor in the locality.
The remains are expected to be repatriated and then re-buried at the martyrs’ cemetery in Binh Phuoc province.
After more than two decades, local authorities have repatriated the remains of nearly 2,700 martyrs.
