Officials also used the incident to raise awareness among local people about the importance of conserving wildlife. Hoan and Hoa voluntarily handed the two monkeys over to specialist agencies.

The two monkeys are transferred to Pu Mat National Park for care and health checks before being released back into the wild.
On the afternoon of the same day, the pair were transferred to Pu Mat National Park for care and health checks before being released back into the wild. The handover took place safely under the supervision of forest rangers and conservation experts.
