According to the province’s Flood and Storm Prevention and Control Steering Board, local ships and boats were banned from going to sea as of 10 am on Thursday.

Quang Nam has 61 fishing boats with 1,706 crew operating at sea, including 49 near the Paracel and Spratly islands.
The local border guards have been assigned to rescue duties.
Localities in the province have also asked to instruct and support local people to consolidate their houses and agencies to protect their offices. They have also been urged to prepare plans to evacuate local residents in vulnerable areas.
Meanwhile, Danang City's fifteen ships and boats with a total of 112 crew are still at sea. Among those, six boats are still in dangerous areas.
The National Centre of Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasted that the current tropical depression on the Ease Sea would turn into a storm which would affect the central region of Vietnam from Friday.
