President Sang visits Ly Son island district

President Truong Tan Sang paid tribute at the Am Linh Tu temple which was built more than 300 years ago to worship the Hoang Sa soldiers who planted markers affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

President Truong Tan Sang paid tribute at the Am Linh Tu temple which was built more than 300 years ago to worship the Hoang Sa soldiers who planted markers affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

On February 22, President Truong Tan Sang  visited Ly Son island district as part of his trip to central Quang Ngai province.

President Sang also talked with An Hai communal authorities about the local socio-economic situation.

He stressed Ly Son’s strategic important position and asked local authorities to double efforts to boost local development. 

Provincial authorities and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development were urged to promote the plantation of garlic, a local specialty, and to upgrade infrastructure for agricultural development.

The same day, the State leader also visited soldiers at Radar Station T 18 of the Naval Command and presented gifts to social beneficiaries.
