His participation shows the Party and State’s resolve to develop friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation with China, helping to strengthen political trust and promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries in particular and between ASEAN and China in general.

CAEXPO, held annually by China and ASEAN, is among China’s top ten trade expos, promising to be a reliable destination for not only businesses from China and ASEAN, but also those from other countries in the region.

The previous nine expos saw a record number of contracts signed with a total capitalisation of US$10 trillion and international investment agreements worth more than US$50 billion.

This year’s event is of great significance as both China and ASEAN celebrate 10 years of their strategic cooperation partnership.

As many as 3,400 stands have been erected to showcase the achievements in investment cooperation, science and technology, trade and services. An area has been reserved to introduce typical cities of China and ASEAN member states, including Vietnam’s Qui Nhon city.

More than 100 Vietnamese businesses are displaying their products on 200 stands at the expo. They will have the chance to meet approximately 50,000 entrepreneurs from China and other ASEAN member states to discuss the possibility of signing contracts and establishing partnerships.

CABIS is a high-level forum for dialogue between ASEAN and China to strengthen their strategic partnership, promote the establishment of an ASEAN - China free trade area and deepen regional economic and trade cooperation, especially in the context of the global economic difficulties.
