According to the provincial people’s committee, the storm caused losses of VND117 billion (USD5 million) for the locality.

The committee said that of the total proposed assistance, around VND50 billion would be earmarked for the agro, forestry and fishery sector, while the remainder would be used for infrastructure work, including the construction of a 200-metre dyke in Tuy Hoa City which has been eroded by the storm.
The province has also asked for the supply of 50,000 dozes of foot and mouth disease vaccines as well as tonnes of chemicals to sterilise the environment for the disease prevention.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development reported that 225 local houses were damaged by the storm. Meanwhile, the typhoon harmed 584 hectares of rice and crops, 122 electric pylons and many classrooms.
Military forces have worked to help local residents stabilise their lives after the storm.
Some 3,165 of 9,754 households evacuated for the storm have returned home.
