The state-owned fuel giant, which holds the largest fuel market share in Vietnam, said its petrol stations had begun selling E10 biofuel in late April.
As of May 15, E10 fuel was available at around 80 per cent of Petrolimex stations, with the company expecting full nationwide conversion by May 20.
Retail prices for E10 RON 95-III at Petrolimex stations are currently VND 23,450 (approximately USD 0.91) per litre, while E10 RON 95-V is sold at VND 24,350 (approximately USD 0.94) per litre.

Earlier, PV OIL, the country’s second-largest fuel distributor, announced it would officially begin selling E10 biofuel at nearly 1,000 petrol stations nationwide from May 15.
The company said remaining stocks of mineral RON 95 petrol would continue to be sold until depleted before a full transition to E10 fuel.
Both Petrolimex and PV OIL began pilot sales of E10 fuel in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in August 2025.
After more than eight months of trial operations in Ho Chi Minh City, Petrolimex said no incidents or consumer complaints related to fuel quality had been recorded.
The company added that E10 fuel consumption during the pilot phase had risen by around 40 per cent compared with the initial rollout, reflecting increasingly positive consumer sentiment.
In recent months, Petrolimex said E10 sales volumes had reached between 3,000 and 4,000 cubic metres per day.
Meanwhile, PV OIL said 715 of its petrol stations had already begun selling E10 fuel as of May 13. According to the company, operational results showed the blended fuel met all technical standards and operated stably in vehicles.
Companies prepare large-scale E10 supply
Regarding supply preparations, PV OIL said it had proactively secured fuel sources from key storage depots while converting existing E5 blending infrastructure to support E10 production.
The company has also upgraded storage tanks, pipeline systems and ethanol storage capacity.
PV OIL said its total E10 blending capacity currently stands at nearly 4 million cubic metres annually, enough to supply its own retail network as well as other distributors if needed.
Petrolimex said it had secured ethanol supplies, upgraded storage and blending infrastructure and established seven E10 blending depots nationwide.
The company also said it had standardised technical procedures and operations across its network of more than 2,800 petrol stations.
