At around 5.15 pm on Wednesday, a pickup truck heading from Ha Long to Cam Pha suddenly swerved onto the median strip, knocking down a palm tree before overturning on the road.

The palm tree fell into the opposite lane, and one of its large fronds pierced the windshield of a car running in the opposite direction.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
