According to the provincial Department of Health, the woman, who tested positive for Covid-19 on June 15, was sent to Long Dinh field hospital for treatment on June 17.

The woman's house is still being locked down
On June 21, her condition worsened with coughs and difficulty breathing. She was then moved to Tien Giang Pulmonary Tuberculosis Hospital on the same day for respiratory failure.
The patient from My Tho City also suffered from diabetes and high blood pressure. Despite being provided with intensive care, she still poorly responded to the treatment and died on Monday.
She became the first Covid-19 case in Tien Giang and Vietnam’s 70th Covid-19 death to date.
