According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the north-west region saw showers and isolated thunderstorms overnight and in the early morning of June 14.
From this evening until the night of June 15, the northern mountainous and midland regions are forecast to see moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall of 40-90mm and more than 150mm in some places. Forecasters warned of rainfall intensity exceeding 100mm within three hours.

The weather agency said that during the day and night of June 16, the northern mountainous and midland regions would continue to experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall of 30-60mm and very heavy rain of more than 100mm in some areas.
Elsewhere, the northern delta is forecast to have showers and scattered thunderstorms this evening and tonight, with rainfall of 10-30mm and more than 80mm in some places. Also this evening and tonight, the Central Highlands and southern region are expected to see scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall of 10-30mm and more than 60mm locally.
