Deputy Head of the CAAV, Noi Bai International Airport Pham Van Hao said the airport would see a surge during this holiday with around 400 flights per day and 75,000 passengers through its domestic terminal.

During the same period last year, Noi Bai served 420 flights, nearly 64,000 passengers per day.

Meanwhile, the upgrade of Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s runways and airways will be completed before April 30 to meet the airport’s passenger rise.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s 25R/07L runway has been closed for upgrading work since February.

During the closure, the CAAV has adjusted the number of flights at Tan Son Nhat to 30 per hour compared to 36-48 between February 21 and Apr 30.

Many domestic flights have been fully booked for the upcoming Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1) holiday.
