Hundreds of people attended the opening ceremony of Trinh Cong Son Pedestrian Street on May 11

The opening ceremony started at 7.30 pm with music shows and many activities. Hundreds of people visited the street with umbrellas. It is expected to be an art and cuisine culture space for various street performances, from modern to traditional music including xam and chau van singings.

There are 60 kiosks selling souvenirs and are designed based on the typical old houses in Hanoi's Old Quarter, Hoi An Town and other regions.

The pilot programme will last until the end of 2018 and the city authorities will decide to expand or shorten the pedestrianised area.
