Their efforts have shown in results of a test on the quality of mobile phone services in 2010 by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoC). The study showed that Vietnamobile and Beeline have better voice quality than mega-companies Vinaphone, MobiFone and Viettel.
In terms of dropped calls, Vietnamobile had the fewest, followed by Beeline with 0.05%. Behind were MobiFone with 0.35%, Vinaphone 0.32% and Viettel 0.1%.
For the rate of successful calls, Vietnamobile was ranked second behind Viettel. Vietnamobile also replied to customer claims in 24 hrs and its coverage reached 99.866% compared to the standard of 99.5%.
Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Head of the Department for Information and Technology and Communication Quality Control under the MoC said the test results are only an indication of domestic mobile phone operators and their service quality, but they are not used to compare the overall quality.
