The export of precious stones and metals in June is expected to hit US$350 million, announced the General Statistics Office (GSO) on June 24.
These products witnessed a sudden increase in export revenue last month, far greater than in previous months.
In the first half of 2010, an estimated amount of 36 tonnes of gold has been shipped.
Gems and precious metals are among just one of the nine groups of export items that earned more than US$1 billion in the first 6 months of this year, apart from rice, footwear and textiles.
