More than 8.7 tonnes of chicken feet of unclear origin found in Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh authorities have inspected a lorry in Mong Cai 3 Ward and found more than 8.7 tonnes of processed chicken feet without origin papers.

Quang Ninh Province Police Department inspected a lorry in Mong Cai 3 Ward at about 7.10 pm on August 4 and discovered 396 woven sacks on the vehicle, containing more than 8.7 tonnes of processed chicken feet.

At the time of the inspection, the driver was unable to produce invoices or documents proving the lawful origin of the entire consignment.

Local authorities seized the goods for further handling in accordance with the law.

According to Quang Ninh Province Police Department, the unit will continue to coordinate with relevant forces to step up market inspections and controls, and to strictly detect and handle smuggling, trade fraud, the trading of goods of unclear origin, and violations of food safety regulations, helping to protect consumers' rights and maintain market stability in the area.
