The northern central province of Thanh Hoa has decided to suspend a ceremony to announce the establishment of Nghi Son Town and open Hai Hoa Beach Tourism Festival scheduled to take place on April 30. The Hai Tien Beach Tourism Festival will also be suspended on the same weekend.

Provincial authorities will use the funds for a fireworks display for medical equipment instead for Covid-19 prevention.

All visitors to Thanh Hoa are required to make a health declaration. Tourism facilities that fail to conform to Covid-19 prevention regulations must be closed.

Ninh Binh Province will also suspend the Trang An Festival 2021 slated to be held on April 29.

Meanwhile, in Ha Tinh Province, the districts of Nghi Xuan, Loc Ha, Cam Xuyen, Ky Anh and Thach Ha will halt their beach festivals.

Many events in Quang Tri Province will be suspended from April 30 to May 8, including a boat race on Ben Hai River, a beach volleyball tournament, a light show and a street music show. The province will continue organising a flag raising ceremony by Ben Hai River, but the number of participants will be cut by 1,000.
